2019 Spätburgunder trocken, Württemberg, Germany

Somewhat dried-vegetable to tobacco aroma of red and black berries with a little undergrowth and a hint of juniper and pepper. Tart fruit with dried-vegetable to herbal, smoky and barrel-wood notes, again also undergrowth, mushroomy hints, crumbly-sandy tannin, certain persistence and power, again a touch of juniper in the background, also laurel, slightly rustic character, but well made, good to very good, tart finish.
