2015 Rüdesheim Berg Roseneck Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken, Rheingau, Germany

Restrained citrus, pomaceous and stone fruit on the nose, light nutty and yeasty traces, mineral notes, touch of tobacco, earthy and stony mineral notes. Tart, restrained fruit on the palate, prominent yeasty and mineral notes, hint of tobacco and almonds, fairly prominent acidity, prominent integrated tannins, persistent, medium body, still a little rough, but has substance and some depth, elegant herbaceous notes in the background, prominent floral notes and fennel seed on a very good finish. Lives up to the name Roseneck (rose corner)
