2017 Schweigen Sonnenberg Pinot Noir trocken "Herrenwingert", Pfalz, Germany

Tart, firm aroma of black and red berries with cherry aromas, smoky, tobacco and nutty wood aromas, also liquorice, some cocoa and coffee as well as ethereal notes. Very tightly knit, tangy, fresh, still undeveloped fruit, lots of acid bite and very present, fine sandy tannin, citrus nuances, mushrooms, pepper and smoke in the background, some root vegetables, still gaining juice and depth with air, lots of salt, very good, firm, tangy finish. Needs time.
