2012 Sommerach Katzenkopf Cabernet Cubin trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Tart nose, light smoky and toasted notes, fairly mature, black berries, earthy notes, hint of tobacco. Clear, fairly firm, ripe, juicy fruit on the palate, noticeable spicy oak, slightly sandy, ripe tannins, persistent with good substance, some depth, very light ethereal notes, full-bodied, but also quite a fresh style, more spicy oak on a very good, juicy finish. Well made.
