2017 Vulkanland Steiermark Ried Rosenberg Grauburgunder Erste STK Ried trocken, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Surprisingly cool, yeasty, nutty and delicately floral scent of pome fruit and a hint of tobacco, with some smoky and woody notes and a hint of tar in the background. Ripe, straightforward, tangy-juicy fruit, again smoky and somewhat nutty wood with tobacco nuances, earthy minerality in the background, very fine acidity, delicate tannin handle, has power and a certain warmth, very good finish with mushroom tones and again smoke
