2014 Vulkanland Steiermark Morillon trocken vom Buch, Eruption, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Firm, fairly deep nose, prominent vegetal and earthy notes, slightly smoky with a touch of flintstone, restrained yellow fruit, peppery traces, touch of sugar candy and nuty. Ripe, creamy, slightly warm fruit on the palate, prominent vegetal and nutty notes, light earthy and yeasty notes, lively, elegant acidity, tannins still slightly sandy, persistent and quite full-bodied, has grip and some depth, smoky and spicy traces, very good substance, still largely undeveloped, very good finish. Needs time to mature.
