2017 Chardonnay "Franz Anton", Baden, Germany

Light nutty oak on the nose, hint of vanilla, pomaceous fruit and a hint of citrus, light yeasty and floral traces, mineral notes. Tart fruit on the palate, more light oak, light vegetal and floral traces, fairly prominent acidity, light tannic grip, salty mineral notes in the background, good persistence, still largely undeveloped, still very slightly rough, but becomes more polished with aeration, clear contours, very good, gripping finish.
