2016 Oberrotweil Kirchberg Chardonnay Grosses Gewächs, Baden, Germany

Yeasty nose, light nutty notes, delicate traces of butter and caramel, ripe yellow fruit, light peppery notes, mineral notes become more prominent with aeration. Firm, tart, juicy, fairly cool fruit on the palate, light yeasty notes and some oak, smoky and herbaceous traces, lively, elegant acidity, persistent, elegant bite, noticeable light mineral notes in the background, touch of white pepper, still undeveloped, but already indicates some depth, very good tart, juicy finish. Was only in top form on the third day after opening. Definitely needs time to mature.
