2014 Achkarren Schlossberg Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken, Baden, Germany

Clear, polished, firm, deep nose, elegant spice, red berries and a few cherries, delicate herbaceous and peppery aromas, hint of black berries, mineral traces. Clear, elegant, juicy, polished fruit on the palate, light nutty oak, hint of tobacco, very fine youthful tannins, light acid bite, some dark chocolate in the background, salty mineral notes, still largely undeveloped, cool elements, has some depth, firm grip on a very good long finish. Definitely needs time to mature.
