2014 Blaufränkisch trocken Alte Reben, Burgenland, Austria

Clear, firm, slightly smoky aroma of black berries and sour cherries with herbaceous nuances and some pepper. Clear, polished, finely juicy, relatively cool fruit, crumbly-sandy tannins and some acid bite, persistent on the palate, smoky nuances, salt in the background, tart herbal nuances, certain depth, very good, tart-juicy and spicy finish with bite.

Editor note: Tart, firm nose, light nutty, spicy oak, predominantly black berries, light dried floral aromas, touch of dried herbs, hint of bacon, earthy and mineral notes. Firm, tart, juicy fruit on the palate, fairly prominent fine tannins, noticeable acid bite, full-bodied, also has good grip and cool elements, persistent, good depth, prominent mineral notes, herbaceous aromas, still very young, concentrated and persistent, complex, light toasted notes, very good firm, juicy, spicy finish.
