2016 Leithaberg DAC Blaufränkisch trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Light smoky, spicy oak on the nose, ripe black berries, dried vegetal and earthy notes, hint of tobacco. Ripe, juicy, fairly concentrated fruit on the palate, light spicy, toasted and nutty oak aromas, touch of cocoa, fine, sandy, ripe tannins, persistent and polished, good depth, delicate peppery notes reminiscent of pimento, hint of tobacco, still young, quite complex, more smoky, spicy oak on a very good, tart, juicy finish.
