2015 Leithaberg DAC Blaufränkisch trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Firm nose, light earthy notes, hint of tobacco, ripe black berries and a few cherries, peppery traces, dried herbs, hint of blood. Firm, tart, juicy, dark fruit on the palate, delicate toastedoak, some tobacco, cocoa and juniper, peppery notes in the background, hint of dried herbs, earthy and salty mineral notes, persistent, quite full-bodied, good depth, still young, very good juicy, spicy, grippy finish.
