2013 Leithaberg DAC Blaufränkisch trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Firm, cool, fairly deep nose, sour cherries and black berries, elegant herbaceous traces, tobacco leaves, touch of old oak and walnuts. Clear, polished, fairly juicy fruit on the palate, still undeveloped, light nutty oak, hint of chocolate, very fine youthful tannins, generally well integrated, persistent, concentrated, hint of herbs and spices, mineral traces, quite juicy, but also slightly astringent on a very good finish.
