2006 Leithaberg Ried Goldberg Blaufränkisch trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Cool, deep nose, preserved cherries and black berries, hint of red berries, tart herbaceous traces, very moderate spicy oak, hint of juniper, prominent mineral notes. Very firm on the palate, concentrated and juicy, crystal-clear fruit, slightly sweetish spicy oak, very fine tannins, herbs and spices in the background,, full-bodied, very polished and very persistent, excellent depth, still largely undeveloped, excellent balance, very long finish.
