2004 Leithaberg trocken Leithaberg, Burgenland, Austria

Fairly cool berry nose, vegetal notes and undergrowth, some smoked meat and mineral notes. Still slightly dominated by oak on the palate, firm fruit and has some substance, full-bodied with a firm backbone, still quite closed, the prominent mineral notes make it a little chunky, opens up with extensive aeration, good long finish.
