1997 Neusiedlersee-Hügelland Goldberg, Burgenland, Austria

Developed but still firm aroma of ripe predominantly black berries with slightly dried-meaty and peppery notes, some tobacco and a hint of juniper. Tart, matured dark fruit, dried-herbal and peppery aromas, a touch of meat, peppery and also salty tones, has power, good persistence, still present tannin, some acid bite, persistent, dried-herbal and slightly iodine, very good, tart finish.
