The winery is located in the community of Schweigen-Rechtenbach (area Südliche Weinstraße) in the German wine-growing region Pfalz. It is managed by Hans Gnägy, who is supported by his son Michael, who was trained in Weinsberg. The vineyards cover 14.5 hectares of vineyards in the Sonnenberg location directly on the French border with Alsace. They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling, Müller-Thurgau, Silvaner,Pinot Blanc, PinotGris, Gewürztraminer, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Scheurebe, Kerner and Auxerrois, as well as the red wine varieties Blauer Portugieser,Pinot Noir, Dornfelder, St. Laurent, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
