2018 Forst Ungeheuer Riesling Spätlese trocken "Im Ziegler", Pfalz, Germany

Rather firm, clearly herbaceous-vegetal and delicately floral fragrance with rather light, relatively cool yellow-fruity aromas and floral and green-vegetal nuances. Ripe, juicy, partly candied, quite sweet fruit, crumbly-sandy tannin, vegetable and herbal aromas, delicately floral, some candy on the palate, good substance and persistence, certain enamel, yellow-spicy and nutty hints, a hint of pumpkin seeds, very good, juicy, again quite sweet finish

Editor note: Herbaceous notes on the nose, delicate yeasty and prominent mineral notes, restrained yellow fruit. Clear, fairly juicy, sweetish fruit on the palate, very elegant acidity, delicate tannic grip, fairly prominent, slightly smoky mineral notes, herbaceous and floral traces, hint of black berries, some sugar candy, more fairly prominent mineral notes on a good to very good, fairly sweet finish. Would probably be even more interesting with less sweetness.
