2019 Süd-Steiermark Ried Pössnitzberg Chardonnay Grosse STK Ried trocken, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Quite firm and deep, tart, still a little smoky-reductive, somewhat tobacco, nutty and mushroomy scent of ripe yellow fruits with a hint of dried herbs, red berries and butter and with air also increasingly mineral. Polished, firm, bright fruit with delicate melting, cool herbal, nutty and slightly smoky nuances, very fine, yet lively acidity, some ripe tannin, good persistence and substance, certain depth, salty and chalky minerality, hints of fennel in the very good, firm finish.
