2017 Süd-Steiermark Ried Pössnitzberg Sauvignon Blanc Grosse STK Ried trocken, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Firm and quite deep, a little dried vegetal, herbaceous and a hint of bacon with ripe, warm yellow fruity but also slightly green berry aromas, nutty and delicately smoky wood tones, floral nuances and hinted mushrooms. Ripe, juicy, warm, melted fruit, very fine acidity and some grip, persistent and dense on the palate, herbal-vegetable aromas, a hint of elderberry, quite clear minerality, a hint of bacon, has power and warmth, but remains firm, a little smoke in the background, very good, tangy-juicy, delicately woody-spicy and very mineral finish. Underestimated by us at the first tasting last year
