2018 Dornfelder trocken, Main, Germany

A little boiled down, somewhat nutty, vegetal to herbal and quite black berry nose with a hint of cherries and bacon. Dark, rather lean fruit with a slight acid bite, some bitter-chocolatey wood flavours and slightly minty hints, restrained, fine sandy tannin, some persistence, slightly bitter in the neat finish.
