Editor note: Tart nose, partly dried vegetal notes, hint of bacon, animal notes, red and a few black berries, hint of amarena cherries, mushrooms, some undergrowth and tobacco. Very firm, fresh, very juicy fruit on the palate, lively acidity, firm, fine tannins, persistent and quite concentrated, spicy aromas, hint of tobacco, hint of mushrooms, specifically morrels, light toasted notes, chalky, salty mineral notes, very good, firm, tart, juicy, fairly complex finish. Needs time to mature.

The production area is located in the federal state of Baden-Württemberg in Germany. The vineyards cover 11,461 hectares of vines, which extend between Lake Constance and the Tauber valley below Rothenburg (Taubergrund). The geographical and climatic conditions are characterised by many river valleys. On its very winding course, the tributaries Rems, Enz, Kocher and Jagst flow towards the Neckar.
