2019 Hohentengen Oelberg Chardonnay Kalkofen, Baden, Germany

Somewhat bacony and vegetal nose with pome fruit and citrus aromas and mushroomy hints. Ripe, somewhat melting, a hint of sweet fruit with smoky, nutty and dried planty notes, bacon again on the palate, relatively lively acidity, grip of crumbly-sandy tannin, some power and persistence, salty and earthy hints, good to very good finish.
