2017 trocken "Cultor", Pfalz, Germany

Toasty, woody-spicy aroma of ripe, partly preserved damsons and predominantly dark berries with a slightly ethereal-herbal spiciness, some liquorice, cocoa and coffee. Tart, ripe and quite firm dark fruit with smoky-roasty and a little tobacco wood spice, present, ripe, fine sandy tannins, ethereal-herbal aromas, a hint of juniper, good persistence, chalky-salty tones in the background, lots of bitter chocolate and coffee, very good finish with dark juice and wood still present.

Best to drink: Bis 2027+. What our ratings mean
