2017 trocken "Amator", Pfalz, Germany

Very slightly developed, somewhat smoky-roasty and tobacco aroma of more black than red berries with a slightly peppery-etheric spiciness and distinct woody aromas. Ripe, somewhat warm fruit, again slightly developed, noticeable wood spice, smoky, somewhat toasty and hints of bacon, a hint of dry herbs on the palate, peppery ethereal notes, good persistence, a little sandy, slightly drying tannin, noticeable alcohol, a hint of malt, not eternally deep, salty nuances, very good, warm, again slightly drying and woody finish with iodine tones.
