2017 trocken "Altor", Pfalz, Germany

Slightly malty aroma of partly preserved and dried plums and dark berries with noticeable wood, some tobacco, ash, cold coffee and also a little wood polish. Ripe, warm black and also a little red fruit, dried vegetal nuances, a little muted on the palate, drying tannin, woody, first slightly dull, but with air clearly gaining in juiciness, noticeable alcohol, good persistence, cocoa notes, very good finish with malty hints, salt and some wood bitterness.

Best to drink: 2023-2028+. What our ratings mean
