Firm and fresh, tart, peppery as well as slightly nutty and mushroomy scent of ripe black berries and some cherries with juniper and floral traces as well as a hint of cinnamon. Taut, tangy, clear fruit, herbal-vegetable and a little smoky notes, salt, chalk, pepper and a hint of juniper on the palate, persistent, medium power, some depth, still young, very good, taut, tangy and again a little ethereal-spicy finish with freshness, bite and pull. A pleasure.
Synonym (also Blauer Lemberger) for the grape variety Blaufränkisch; see there.
