The winery "Dreisiebner Stammhaus" is located in the municipality of Gamlitz in the Austrian wine-growing region of Southern Styria. It has been family-owned since 1890 and is now managed in the fourth generation by Hannes Dreisiebner. A "Buschenschank" is attached. In addition, there are also winegrower rooms for rent. The vineyards comprise 17 hectares of vines in the Hochsulz vineyard, which has been in sole ownership since 1998, and the Zoppelberg vineyard to the east. 90% of the white wine varieties Sauvignon Blanc, Traminer, Welschriesling, Sämling 88(Scheurebe), Chardonnay,Pinot Blanc, Muscat and Riesling, and 10% of the red wine varieties Zweigelt and Blauer Wildbacher are cultivated.
The wines have been produced for years in a three-tiered quality system, which is very similar to the "Südsteiermark DAC" origin system (regional wine, local wine and Riedenwein) introduced in Styria in 2018. The "Classic" line basically comprises tangy-fruity wines matured in stainless steel tanks for early enjoyment and corresponds to the regional wine. The second line "Ried Hochsulz" and "Ried Zoppelberg" comprises wines from the optimal part of the harvest of these two vineyards. These are developed in a way that is typical for the location and variety. The top line Ried Hochsulz "Reserve" is only produced in top vintages. These wines are stored for two years in small wooden barrels. Annually about 100,000 bottles of wine are produced. Bottle-fermented sparkling wines are also produced. The winery is a member of the Marktgemeinschaft Wein Steiermark.
