2012 Samtrot trocken Hades, Württemberg, Germany

Fairly mature nose, spicy, smoky oak, hint of bacon, partly preserved red berries, mixed pickles, hint of tobacco, dried herbaceous traces. Quite full-bodied on the palate, tart fruit, hint of bacon, prominent sooty, smoky oak, light peppery notes and dried herbs, fairly rustic style, earthy with light salty notes in the background, light bitter touch, noticeable high alcohol, slightly astringent, some coffee notes, good, warm, slightly sooty finish.
