2014 Ihringen Winklerberg Winklen Spätburgunder trocken Grosses Gewächs, Rappenecker®, Baden, Germany

Somewhat developed, firm nose of ripe red and black berries with smoky oak notes, some leather and restrained roasted tones. Clear, firm, tart-juicy fruit with nutty-spicy, smoky and slightly roasted wood flavours, crumbly, yet grippy tannin, fine acidity, persistent, good depth, fleshy traces, salty minerality, has power, but also polish and cooling elements, very good, firm finish with tart juice, grip, minerality and dark, slightly tobacco-like spice.
