2006 Ihringen Winklerberg Grauburgunder trocken Großes Gewächs ***, Baden, Germany

Fairly mature nose, partly dried pomaceous fruit, caramel, nutty and vegetal as well as earthy notes. More nuts and caramel on the palate, partly dried fruit, oak, slightly bitter phenolic notes, has some substance and persistence, slightly rustic style, ash and tobacco, astringent on an otherwise attractive finish.
