2006 Achkarren Schlossberg Grauburgunder trocken Großes Gewächs ***, Baden, Germany

Pomaceous fruit and melon on the fruit, rather prominent oak makes for a slightly matt style, herbaceous traces. More dominant oak on the palate, restrained fruit, lemony acidity, slightly astringent, not particularly deep, slightly creamy with some mineral traces, oak dominates again on quite a good finish. Uncertain forecast, may still improve with age.
