2005 Achkarren Schlossberg Grauburgunder Spätlese trocken ***, Baden, Germany

Partly dried apples and honeydew melon on the nose, nutty and light roasted notes. Elegant creamy fruit on the palate, delicate floral notes, sweetish oak, elegant acidity, light vegetal notes, tart nuances, slightly astringent oak tannins, mineral notes, noticeable alcohol, gains depth and persistence with aeration, good but somewhat oaky finish.
