2016 Carnuntum Ried Spitzerberg trocken, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Tart and cool, quite firm aroma of red and a little black berries with cherry notes, a hint of tobacco, pepper and mineral notes. Also quite firm in the mouth, ripe fruit with spicy wood notes, fine sandy tannin and some bite, nutty and herbal hints, a touch of chocolate, good persistence and substance, mineral tones in the background, a little pomegranate and hints of citrus zest, also a hint of cardamom, very good, quite firm, fine-juicy and spicy finish with floral, herbal and salty notes
