2016 trocken Blanc de Noir, Rheinhessen, Germany

Light yeasty and floral notes on the nose, pomaceous fruit, preserved citrus fruit and rhubarb, a few red berries, cereal notes reminiscent of popcorn. Prominent peach fruit on the palate, nutty notes, hint of mushrooms, some more corn, elegant acidity, fairly persistent, yeasty and floral traces, white currants and gooseberries, moderate tannic grip, hint of sugar candy, fennel in the background, still slightly reductive, medium body, sweetish and creamy, slightly noticeable warm alcohol, good to very good finish.
