2019 Martinsthal Schlenzenberg Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken, Rheingau, Germany

Aroma of ripe red and black berries with notes clearly reminiscent of beetroot, a touch of pepper, tobacco nuances and hints of tar. Clear, tart and juicy, quite polished fruit, smoky and nutty wood notes, again beetroot and clearly pepper, slightly tobacco and herbal in the background, fine, youthful tannin, some bite, chalky and salty minerality in the background, some depth, has polish, very good, tart and juicy and somewhat smoky finish with bite.
