2019 Oberstenfeld Forstberg Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken, Württemberg, Germany

Smoky and slightly tart-rooty, quite fresh nose of red and black berries with a hint of cherries, mushroomy nuances, floral hints and a hint of tobacco, capers, olive oil and herbs from Provence. Clear, quite firm, rather fresh and cool, juicy fruit, a little cocoa on the palate, smoky nuances, salt and also peppery hints, persistent, has bite, still undeveloped, hints of bacon and figs in the background, a touch of coffee, very good, tight, juicy and spicy finish with bite.
