2019 Bönnigheim Schupen Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken, Württemberg, Germany

Tart, relatively cool and fresh, still undeveloped aroma of more red than black berries and a little cherry with floral, delicately bacony, meaty, peppery and herbaceous aromas and a hint of artichoke. Taut, again rather cool and relatively bright, tart juicy fruit with nutty, delicately smoky to bacony and peppery flavours, lots of parsley, persistent on the palate, present, fine tannin, some acid bite and a touch of carbonation, chocolatey and hints of peanut flavours, also a hint of soot, peppery nuances, dry herbs and salt, very good, firm, juicy and spicy finish with clear, fresh juice, some smoke and minerality.
