2022 Volkach Ratsherr VDP.Grosses Gewächs trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Rather tart, nutty as well as a little dried vegetal and delicately tobacco aroma with pome fruit aromas as well as slightly smoky barrel tones and delicately floral nuances. Ripe, quite juicy, also melting and slightly warm fruit, very fine acidity and some grip, hints of yellow spice on the palate, root vegetables and a hint of mustard pickle, peppery nuances, with air a little creamy tones, persistent, has power, some depth, salty minerality, a little chalk, very good, firm, slightly smoky finish.
