2019 Weil Schlipf Spätburgunder "Weil am Rhein", Baden, Germany

Clear, deep and polished, rather restrained aroma of red and also a little black berries with herbal, peppery and smoky nuances as well as a hint of beetroot. Fine, ripe, tightly knit, tart fruit, slightly smoky, nutty and hints of toasty notes, fine acidity, crumbly tannin, persistent on the palate, quite elegant style, certain melting, delicately peppery and tobacco spice, a hint of coffee and cocoa, good depth, very good finish with bright mineral notes.
