2019 Weil Schlipf Chardonnay, Baden, Germany

Tart, woody and somewhat smoky aroma with citrus and pome fruit aromas and fine, yet quite distinct vegetal tones. Firmly woven, ripe, bright fruit, smoky wood again, also nutty and somewhat toasty tones, very fine acidity, some grip of crumbly tannin, quite dense, persistent on the palate, medium power, mineral hints in the background, a hint of cocoa, quite compact structure, some depth, very good, firm finish with some warmth and noticeable wood again.
