2020 trocken "ohrenschWEIN", Austria

Cloudy straw yellow. Distinctly yeasty, nutty and a touch buttery nose with yellow fruity and yellow spicy notes as well as a hint of tree bark and dried floral traces. Cool, tart fruit, somewhat citrusy, planty notes, lively acidity and plenty of grip of ripe tannin, yeasty hints on the palate, good persistence, plenty of bite, salt and chalky tones in the background, very good, again citrusy finish with floral traces.

Editor note: Slightly cloudy onion skin colour. Nutty and yeasty aroma with pome fruit aromas, a hint of smoke with dried floral and delicate red berry aromas. Fine, tart, cool fruit, yeasty and nutty aromas, some yellow spice, very fine acidity, vegetal tones, grip of crumbly tannin, persistent, chalky and salty tones, some depth, relatively complex, very good, tart-juicy and -spicy finish, again with a little smoke.
