2020 Saarburg Fuchs Pinot Noir, Mosel, Germany

Clear, quite firm aroma of cherries and more black than red berries with smoky wood notes, some herbs and a hint of tobacco. Firmly woven, tangy, again relatively dark fruit, lively acidity and fine tannic grip, smoky and a little toasty wood spice, persistent on the palate, still young, has polish, salty hints in the background, not eternally deep but very well made, taut, tangy and again smoky finish with bite.
