2018 Silvaner trocken "Maische", Franconia/Franken, Germany

Tart, distinctly vegetal aroma with very restrained yellow fruity notes, earthy and chalky tones, yeast, yellow spice as well as a little nuts, liquorice and mushrooms. Ripe, warm, melting fruit, fine acidity, plus grippy, crumbly tannin, chanterelles on the palate, a hint of butter and nutty flavours, a little yellow spice, smoky and yeasty nuances, some white pepper, very good, a little warm and almost sweetly melting finish that gains depth and grip with air.
