2017 trocken "Monalina rot", Franconia/Franken, Germany

Somewhat mushroomy, herbaceous and hints of bacon on the nose of preserved mixed berries and a little cherry with delicate toasty hints. Straightforward, slightly preserved fruit with a hint of wax and some nutty wood flavours, slightly sandy tannins, some persistence, salty and earthy tones, good finish with a hint of cocoa and toasty nuances again.
