2009 Greuth Bastel Riesling Spätlese trocken "Best of", Franconia/Franken, Germany

Vegetable and somewhat waxy nose with yellow fruity and very slightly petrol notes. Sweetish, somewhat muted fruit, caramel and almost a little buttery notes, suitable acidity, slightly sandy tannin, warming alcohol, earthy hints, sweetish and alcohol-strong, also again somewhat tannic-muted finish. Straight from the winery cellar in much better shape than expected.
