About Weingut Brügel

One of the best producers of the region The wines keep constant high level and are usually the best in their respective category in the area.

The winery is located in the municipality of Castell-Greuth (Steigerwald area) at the foot of the Steigerwald in the German wine-growing region of . It was founded in 1992 by Heinrich Brügel. Today it is run by his son Harald Brügel. The vineyards cover almost nine hectares of vineyards in the single vineyard sites Altenberg (Abtswind), (Castell), as well as Bastel (Greuth). They are planted with the white wine varieties Silvaner, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Müller-Thurgau, Bacchus, Scheurebe and Gelber Muskateller as well as with the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, Blauer Portugieser and Domina. The white wines ferment in steel tanks and are aged for a long time on the ; is kept to a minimum. The red wines are matured in large wooden barrels or in barriques after classic . In years with suitable weather conditions, an is also produced. Around 70,000 bottles of wine are produced annually
