2018 Essenheim Klopp Grauburgunder trocken, Rheinhessen, Germany

Ochre-orange. Clearly nutty and somewhat dried vegetal scent with yeasty, slightly mushy and bacon-like nuances as well as rather reserved pome fruit notes and minerality. Astringent, rather firmly worked fruit with nutty aromas, somewhat smoky to bacony-woody and yeasty notes, fine acidity, has power and enamel, floral tones in the background, quite clear minerality, still little developed, certain power, gains complexity and bite with air, very good finish. Needs time
