2015 Essenheim Teufelspfad Grauburgunder Landwein trocken Orange, Rheinhessen, Germany

Very slightly murky orange colour. Firm nose, light nutty and prominent yeasty and earthy notes, citrus fruit, red berries, hint of tobacco and bacon, some oak, prominent vegetal notes. Juicy, ripe, tart fruit on the palate, prominent yeasty notes, hint of tobacco, chalky and salty mineral notes, hint of smoked bacon, ripe tannins provide firm grip, lively acidity, good substance, persistent, some depth, slightly noticeable warm alcohol, light nutty aromas, still largely undeveloped, spicy traces with a hint of cardamom, tart and juicy, yeasty and earthy notes on a very good grippy finish.
