Editor note: Light vegetal, herbaceous and floral notes on the nose, partly candied yellow fruit, earthy traces, hint of bacon. Clear, very sweet fruit on the palate, sugar candy, floral and herbaceous notes, very light green vegetal aromas, lively acidity, light tannic touch, good substance and persistence, hint of bacon and some yellow spice, light salty notes, very good firm, juicy finish.
Best to drink: Late 2019-2034+

The municipality of Nierstein-Schwabsburg with a population of around 8,400 is located on the Rhine in the federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate. The Schwabsburg district was an independent municipality until 1970. One of the three winegrowing areas in the Rheinhessen wine growing region was also named after Nierstein, the other two are Bingen and Wonnegau.
